Macros & Me Privacy Policy
Macros & Me helps you track and understand your nutrition - not replace professional advice. The app is for general wellness and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional dietary advice.

Data we collect
Macros & Me may store information you enter or create in the app, including account identifiers, nutrition goals, macro targets, body/profile inputs used for target estimates, on-device meal logs, saved recipes, fridge inventory, food aliases, recent searches, barcode scans, and recipe inputs when those features are available.
How we use data
We use this data to provide app features such as food search, meal logging, macro target tracking, Today’s Fit scoring, manual recipes, barcode lookup, dictation, account sync, account deletion, and fridge inventory.
Backend processing
Some features use backend services hosted on Render. Backend processing may include account sign-in, account deletion, food search and detail lookup, barcode lookup, Today’s Fit evaluation, recipe handling, private recipe sharing, and nutrition estimate processing. Meal log entries created in the workspace are stored on device unless a separate cloud-backed feature explicitly says otherwise.
AI-assisted estimates
Some nutrition or recipe estimates may use AI-assisted services when those features are enabled, based on recipe title, servings, ingredients, food details, and limited instruction context. These estimates are not medical advice and should be reviewed by you before saving or using them.
Third-party services and recipe links
When you provide a recipe link or recipe text in a supported feature, Macros & Me may fetch recipe-related text, metadata, captions, transcript text when available, and thumbnail references from that link to help create a recipe. Macros & Me is not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or other third-party platforms, and does not redistribute downloaded video media.
Storage and retention
App data may be stored locally on your device. Backend systems may store account records, session records, account deletion records, recipe records, private link-based recipe sharing records, source metadata, nutrition estimate records, and processing logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Deleting your data
If you create an account, you can delete it in the app from Settings > Account > Delete Account. Account deletion removes the active account session, clears account-bound local app data, deletes or anonymizes account profile fields such as email/name where stored, revokes sessions, and records a minimal deletion event for operations and compliance. You can also contact support@macrosandme.app for privacy questions or help with deletion.
Children’s privacy
Macros & Me is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can help remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy as Macros & Me changes. The effective date above shows when this page was last updated.
